Ya know a cigarette Seems like a good idea when you're 20 years in With nowhere left to go It's a hopeless life When you look around and you realize We've made the same mistakes Time and time again But I'm still breaking-in this skin You know a good night's sleep Seems like a good idea when you're neck deep But the demons don't understand Yeah, they're cut throat You either sink or you swim Baby, I know I don't stand a chance But I'm still breaking-in this skin Somehow we've survived This long Somehow we've survived This long We've survived This long, this long And somehow we'll survive

I'll write you a letter that you'll keep Every time you read it you'll think "That's so sweet" But you'll keep it in your pocket The words will fade and stamp fall off it Unreplied You'll write me a poem in your head It'll be the loveliest thing you've Ever said But you'll never get to tell me Verses lost forgotten empty Never read We never seem to be on the same page You're flipping through so fast these days And if you ever stop to ask me how I've been I'll remember those times, you loved me then Those times, you loved me then I'll sing you a song that you'll love It won't be about us but you'll Wish it was You'll play it while you sleep Falling so much more deeply Than I can go We never seem to be on the same page You're flipping through so fast these days And if you ever stop and wonder how I've been Just remember those good times, I loved you then Those times, I loved you then And I will learn to let you go In these times you never know What you'll force the past to hold And I will hold onto hope But in these times you never know So I will learn to let you go I know it's always hard to say goodbye I'm just sorry I took so much of your time

You were young And yet you clung To the cracks in the concrete of the past Forced out of home Roots ripped from places welcome Your petals fell from around your neck You rushed to gather them But instead just scattered them Deeper into the corners of the universe Your name was thus written On every planet and rock in space But was nowhere on your heart You're something along the lines of You don't quite know what you're made of Insecurity will consume Every crack every room Unoccupied by sterling confidence So practice shouting your name And begin to claim The parts of you left undiscovered Hold tight to who you are Because you never know Who you'll turn out to be Tomorrow You're something along the lines of You don't quite know what you're made of That throbbing thing At your core Are words that you've never even heard before But once you see Yourself in love You'll understand what bones are made of We're something along the lines of This time we know what we're made of We're something along the lines of This time we know what we're made of

Before 03:36
I never knew how to say this I never really knew what to do But now I think I've finally found the answer And now I think I know the answers you And I can feel it on the tips of my fingers Now I know I'm free Before I met you I was stuck in midnight A streak of starlight caught in a blur But now I see you and time stands still And now I'm tryna tell you how I feel Cause you are in the tips of my fingers All I touch is new It's hard to believe what you can't see It makes you question your sanity But in my eyes there is nothing more true I wanna spend all my days on you I've never laughed this hard before I've never sang this loud before Since I found you at my door I've never danced like this before I've never smiled this bright before I've never felt this light before All I can say is I want more I've never felt this joy before All I can say is I want more I've never felt this joy before

about

On January 1st, 2014, standing in my backyard with my family, watching fireworks erupt, I made the decision to pursue the idea of creating original music. It was actually a pretty intimidating thought. The only songs I had ever written were simple piano pieces, Meet Me In the Middle actually being the very first of those, but soon Something Along the Lines Of came into being. One year of vigorous writing and 6 long months of recording later and my dreams and plans have been made reality!

I am extremely pleased to release this project as it is something I am very proud of and I hope you find something for you in between the strings of my guitar. I am so grateful for all of the support I have received from my friends and even strangers and I am especially thankful for my friend Stephen by whom a product of this quality was possible. Enjoy! :)

Physical copies are available. Contact me if you're interested!
